Whitney W. Wolfe

Whitney Wolfe is an attorney at Anderson & Jahde, P.C.  Whitney represents individuals and businesses in a variety of matters involving the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities. With a legal career that spans over a decade, Whitney has built a reputation for her detailed and results-driven approach. She is known for her compassion, dedication, and commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients.

Prior to specializing in tax controversy, Whitney practiced family law throughout the Denver Metro Area.  Whitney’s work on cases involving complex financial issues sparked her passion for tax law.   Whitney also credits her confidence in litigation settings to her time as a family law practitioner.  Whitney now combines her expertise in tax law with her skills in negotiation, advocacy, and trial strategy to provide exceptional representation to her tax clients.

Whitney particularly enjoys representing clients in tax audits (examinations) and audit reconsiderations.  Whitney’s background also makes her uniquely qualified to advise individuals facing both family law and tax challenges.  This may include, for instance, assisting clients seeking innocent spouse relief.

Whitney holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the College of Charleston and a law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation at the University of Denver, with an expected completion date in May of 2025.

Whitney is licensed practice in Colorado state courts, the United States Tax Court and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Whitney is a member of the Denver Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association. She also serves on the Board of the Young Lawyers Division of the Colorado Lawyers Committee, an organization dedicated to creating and increasing opportunities for children and disadvantaged communities.

Whitney has also been recognized by her peers and the broader legal community. Whitney was named to Best Lawyers’ Ones to Watch in 2022 and was included in Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars in 2023, honors that reflect her professionalism and accomplishments.

In her personal time, Whitney enjoys playing the piano, attending (and competing in) dog shows, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
