Richard has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of personal and professional accomplishments. He was an admired man, and his passing is a loss for those closest to him, Anderson & Jahde, and to the field of law. We already miss you.
Richard D’Estrada spent 28 years with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel as a senior trial attorney where he litigated Tax Court cases and rendered advice to IRS personnel on all aspects of tax compliance. His practice focused on Federal and State civil and criminal tax controversy and IRS collection alternatives. Mr. D’Estrada was an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program for 18 years where he taught civil and criminal tax procedures. Richard received his J.D. from Marquette University Law School.
